Student Risk Assessment
The purpose of this assessment is to ensure that you, as my student and I as your driving instructor, are fully informed of any health conditions or concerns you have regarding personal safety during driving lessons. It will also ensure that any questions you have are answered and the relevant planning is put in place prior to the commencement of any lessons.
If you need to, please discuss this assessment with family members or those in your household to ensure any answers you give are accurate.
YOU MUST inform me immediately if YOU or ANY member of your immediate household, social circle or work group develop COVID 19 symptoms and need to self isolate. YOU MUST NOT attend any driving lessons or driving tests if you have COVID 19 symptoms.

During these unprecedented times I would like to assure you that your instructor will be following the guidelines as set out by the DVSA, he will also be implementing car sanitising in-between lessons, he will be sanitising the car with appropriate liquid, wipes, gel and anything else that will keep the car as clean as possible. At the beginning of each lesson the pupil and instructor will discuss how each person is feeling, and determine if a lesson should continue, your instructor reserves the right to cancel any lesson at this point. The discussion will also involve what if any PPE is to be worn by both pupil and instructor, your instructor will have a limited supply of gloves/masks and strongly recommends that the pupil purchases there own for future lessons. If the lesson is unable to proceed due to suspected Covid 19 signs then the 48 hour cancellation policy will be waived. If the pupil suspects they have symptoms they will be able to cancel a lesson at short notice. As you can appreciate during these times lessons may have to cease at short notice, your instructor will take every precaution necessary but cant be held responsible for any Covid 19 symptoms/transmission and will require the waiver document completed prior to the first lesson commencing.

Please make sure you consider the following points before each lesson

- Have you or anyone in your household become unwell or have symptoms of Covid 19 since your last lesson.
Have you or anyone in your household been tested in the last week or feel they have to self isolate.
Have you been in contact with anyone outside your household showing symptoms.
You must wear a face covering unless you have a valid reason not to ie. medical or disability, it should be provided by yourself and disposed of safely after the lesson
Do you want to wear gloves, if so they should be provided by yourself and disposed of safely after the lesson
If you want to use hand sanitiser bring it with you.
Wear appropriate clothing for each lesson ie long sleeves and trousers if possible.
Any bags you bring, for onward journey, must go in the boot.
If you have any allergies or other health problems that might be brought on by cleaning products you must inform me in advance of your lesson. If you have any questions please contact me and I will endeavor to answer them.
